While a Lamborghini SUV may seem inconceivable at first, the company is no stranger to utility vehicles – as enthusiasts will remember, the brand not only produced the LM002 from 1986 to 1993, but was preceded by Ferrucio Lamborghini’s tractor manufacturer. Furthermore, the company has long championed the use of all wheel drive in its supercars, starting with 1993’s Diablo VT. Therefore, it should be of little surprise the Urus, first unveiled as a concept in April 2012 at the Beijing Auto Show, not only combines Lamborghini’s penchant for eye-catching style and sensational performance but also remarkable utility.
Based on the same platform as its stablemates, the Bentley Bentayga and the Porsche Cayenne, the Urus utilizes far more carbon fiber in its chassis and bodywork, specially developed carbon-ceramic brakes, and unique tuning for its adaptive air suspension to ensure the car feels distinctly Lamborghini. Of course, while performance is of paramount importance, with a Twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 offering 641hp, the Urus does not skimp on luxury. Standard four-zone automatic climate control, navigation, heated front seats, and adaptive cruise control are only a few of the many amenities that surround those lucky enough to enjoy a drive in a Urus.
The spectacular 2021 Lamborghini Urus SUV featured here is finished in gorgeous Arancio Borealis (Orange Metallic) over an impeccably kept Nero Ade (Black) leather interior featuring Arancio Leonis (Bright Orange) contrasting stitching.
