Debuting at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Ferrari 458 succeeded the F430 as the company’s premier mid-engine V8 supercar. An entirely new chassis and an updated variant of the F136 V8, now direct injected and displacing 4.5 liters for 562hp, dramatically increased performance and cornering agility over its predecessor. A first for the company, only one transmission was available: a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. A computer-controlled differential, magnetorheological suspension, and advanced traction/stability control further improved the new car’s driving dynamics.
Naturally, the 458 was an immediate hit amongst critics and enthusiasts alike – its inspired design by Pininfarina certainly helped. While convertible and track-tuned variants were later offered, the standard 458 Italia is perhaps the most well-balanced between street comfort and performance, making it the choice for any enthusiast who wishes to enjoy their mid-engine supercar on public roads.
The fabulous 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Coupe featured here is finished in stunning Nero (Black) over a matching leather interior featuring carbon fiber trim throughout.
